Privacy Policy for NuvScan

NuvScan is designed to perform its core document-scanning functions directly on your Android device.

The App does not require you to create a NuvScan account to scan documents.

NuvScan does not contain advertising and does not use advertising networks to monetize your activity.

Your scanned documents are not uploaded to Jythu Enterprises servers as part of the normal scanning workflow.

Core operations such as document capture, page detection, perspective correction, image enhancement and supported offline document processing are designed to occur locally on your device.

Camera

NuvScan requests access to your device camera so that you can photograph and scan documents.

Camera images captured through NuvScan are processed for purposes such as:

• detecting document boundaries;
• capturing document pages;
• correcting perspective;
• improving document readability;
• creating document files; and
• displaying scanned pages within your document library.

Camera access is used only for features that require document capture.

NuvScan does not continuously record your camera in the background.

Photos and images you choose to import

NuvScan may allow you to select existing images using Android's system photo picker.

NuvScan only receives access to the images that you choose through the picker.

The App does not request unrestricted access to your complete photo library solely for document importing.

Imported images may be processed locally in the same way as camera-captured documents.

Your scanned documents may contain personal, confidential, financial, identification, business, medical, educational, or other sensitive information.

NuvScan is designed so that these documents remain stored locally on your device unless you explicitly choose to export, share, or otherwise transfer them.

Jythu Enterprises does not receive copies of your scanned document images or extracted document contents through the normal scanning workflow.

When you choose Android's Share feature, another application or service selected by you may receive the file. The privacy practices of that third-party application or service are governed by its own privacy policy.

NuvScan stores information necessary to provide its features locally on your device. This may include:

• scanned document images;
• processed page images;
• document thumbnails;
• document names;
• folders;
• page order;
• scan settings;
• editing information;
• application preferences; and
• temporary scan-session files.

Temporary files may be created during scanning and document processing.

NuvScan attempts to remove temporary files when they are no longer required, although temporary files may remain if processing is unexpectedly interrupted, such as when the operating system terminates the application.

Documents that you intentionally save remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall/clear the App, subject to Android storage behavior and any export location selected by you.

NuvScan is designed to support its primary scanning functionality without requiring document images to be sent to a remote AI or document-processing service.

Where offline OCR or similar features are provided, NuvScan is intended to process supported recognition tasks locally on the device unless a future feature clearly states otherwise.

If we introduce an optional cloud-based feature in the future, we will provide appropriate disclosure before document content is transmitted and will update this Privacy Policy where required.

NuvScan does not contain:

• banner advertising;
• interstitial advertising;
• rewarded advertising; or
• third-party advertising SDKs.

We do not sell your scanned document contents to advertisers.

The standard NuvScan scanning experience does not require you to register an account with Jythu Enterprises.

Accordingly, we do not require your name, email address, phone number, password, or social-media account merely to scan documents.

If account-based features are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those features are made generally available.

NuvScan may offer a one-time Lifetime Pro purchase through Google Play.

Purchases are processed by Google Play, not directly by NuvScan.

Jythu Enterprises does not receive your complete payment-card or bank-account details from Google Play.

To confirm whether premium functionality has been purchased, the App and/or our entitlement-verification service may process limited transaction information such as:

• product identifier;
• purchase status;
• purchase token or an equivalent transaction identifier;
• package/application identifier;
• purchase timestamp; and
• entitlement-verification status.

This information is used only to validate, restore, prevent abuse of, and provide the purchased NuvScan entitlement.

Payment processing itself is governed by Google's applicable terms and privacy policies.

NuvScan is not designed around advertising tracking.

We do not use your scanned document content for behavioral advertising.

We do not intend to create advertising profiles based on the documents you scan.

The App should not request an advertising identifier solely for advertising purposes because NuvScan does not display ads.

Google Play and the Android operating system may independently provide developers with aggregated or technical information such as application installation information, stability information, crash statistics, device compatibility information, and Android Vitals.

Such information is governed by Google's own services and policies.

We may receive limited technical information needed to understand application crashes, performance problems, or compatibility issues through Google Play or other clearly disclosed diagnostic services used by the App.

Diagnostic information may include information such as:

• App version;
• Android version;
• device model;
• crash type;
• performance information; and
• technical error information.

We do not intentionally include scanned document images, OCR text, document filenames, or document contents in crash or diagnostic reports.

Depending on the features you use, NuvScan may request Android permissions or system access including:

Camera

Used to capture documents.

Vibration / haptic feedback

Used to provide optional tactile feedback during actions such as document capture.

Internet access

Internet access may be used for limited functions such as Google Play purchase verification, retrieving application configuration or supported resources, or functionality that clearly requires a network connection.

The core document-scanning process is designed to remain local.

System photo picker

Used when you choose to import existing document images.

NuvScan is designed to avoid requesting permissions unrelated to its functionality.

We do not sell or rent your scanned documents or document contents.

Information may be shared only in limited circumstances such as:

• when you explicitly choose to share or export a document;
• when required for processing a Google Play purchase or entitlement;
• with technical service providers necessary to operate a specifically disclosed feature;
• where required by applicable law, court order, or lawful governmental request; or
• when necessary to protect users, our rights, or the security and integrity of the App.

Service providers are expected to process information only for the purposes for which it is provided and subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.

Documents saved locally through NuvScan remain under your control on your device.

You may delete documents from within NuvScan where the relevant feature is available.

Temporary scan files are retained only as necessary to complete scanning and processing and may be periodically cleaned by the App.

Limited purchase-verification information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to verify a Lifetime Pro entitlement, prevent purchase abuse, comply with financial or legal requirements, and provide purchase restoration.

Technical records may be retained for periods reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, and legal compliance.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information handled by NuvScan.

These measures may include:

• app-private Android storage;
• Android platform security mechanisms;
• scoped file access;
• encrypted communication where network communication is required;
• Android Keystore-backed protection where appropriate; and
• limiting document processing to the device wherever practical.

However, no device, storage mechanism, software system, or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate security on your Android device, including screen locks, system updates, backups, and control over applications to which you share documents.

NuvScan is not designed or marketed as a children's application.

Our intended Google Play target audience is adults aged 18 and over.

We do not knowingly design NuvScan to collect personal information from children through account registration because no NuvScan account is required for the standard scanning experience.

If we learn that information has been collected in a manner inconsistent with applicable children's privacy laws, we will take reasonable steps to address the issue.

Depending on the relevant Android and NuvScan functionality, you may:

• deny or revoke Camera permission through Android Settings;
• choose whether to import an image;
• decide which documents to scan;
• delete local documents;
• choose whether to share or export documents;
• disable optional functionality where provided; and
• uninstall NuvScan.

Revoking Camera access will prevent camera-based scanning but may not prevent you from using other available features such as importing previously created images.

NuvScan may interact with certain platform services, including Google Play and Android system services.

Relevant third-party services may include:

• Google Play Store;
• Google Play Billing;
• Android system Photo Picker;
• Android platform services; and
• Google Play/Android Vitals.

These services are provided by Google and may process information under Google's own privacy policies and terms.

NuvScan's inclusion or use of a third-party platform service does not mean that Jythu Enterprises controls that service's independent privacy practices.

NuvScan may be made available in multiple countries and regions.

Depending on your location, privacy and data-protection laws may grant you additional rights regarding personal data.

Where applicable, you may contact us regarding privacy-related questions or requests using the information provided below.

We may update this Privacy Policy when NuvScan's functionality, legal requirements, privacy practices, or third-party integrations change.

When changes are made, we will update the Last Updated date above.

Material changes may also be communicated through the App or other appropriate means where required.
